Blog #17 MSB project

Organizations:

BlueWater Network
http://www.envirolink.org/resource.html?itemid=521104151613&catid=5
This Organization focuses on the motorized recreational, shipping, and oil transport pollutions. I would want to interview one of the workers, and ask them what kind of pollution they have had to deal with the most. I would also ask them what kind of effect the pollution has had on marine life.

Marine Animal Rescue Program
http://www.aqua.org/oceanhealth_marp.html
They rescue endangered and harmed animals. I would interview one of the rescuers or workers, and ask what are the most serious injuries and cases they've had to deal with when trying to help an animal. What type of pollution have they noticed effect the animals the most.

Pacific Rivers Council
http://www.animalconcerns.org/resource.html?itemid=1062&catid=5
I would want to know some of the stories that they've had to deal with. like the type of animal situations, and the cases they've had to see with marine animals being endangered or harmed.

Government People Involved:

California Environmental Protection Agency
http://www.swrcb.ca.gov/water_issues/programs/grants_loans/srf/
Made interests rates low so water quality projects wouldn't be so expensive. Annually gives out $200 and $300 million to eligible projects.
-they could be involved becausse now people are a little closer to getting clean water and a clean environment, therefore helping the marine animals get back to a clean and healthy water environment.

Government of Canada
http://www.marinepollution-pollutionmaritime.gc.ca/eng/contact_us/menu.htm
The Government of Canada is steady findng ways of preventing pollution to the marine animals environment. The government is involved and backs up the marine animals' protection.
-Lots of governments, not only America, realize that water pollution is a big factor, and may affect the animals and organisms inside the water. so they are looking at the water, and making sure it's healthy to protect the living organisms that inhabitate it.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
http://www.ukrivers.net/pollution.html#govtag
They ae an organization that looks at every aspect of the marine pollution sources, and they branch into various types of marine conservation groups.
